About Us
Columbine Farm is a micro-farm located 10 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona. The farm utilizes sustainable environmental practices to ensure proper use of the land to raise healthy and spoiled Nigerian Dwarf goats. Becky Nosker is a retired nurse and the creative drive of Columbine Farm. Becky has been making custom soaps since 2018 starting as a hobby, but with the encouragement of family and friends, began selling at local craft fairs. This led to more people requesting orders which in turn led to taking the next step and selling online.
On Columbine Farm, everyone has a job to do. The farm cats, Annie and Calamity, are responsible for keeping the house and feed storage building free of rodents, a never-ending job in a rural community. The farm is also home to Cora and Beatrix, both Maremma livestock guardian dogs. Beatrix is the "momma dog" and stays closest to the herd, while Cora is the "perimeter dog" and ensures nothing uninvited enters the property. Since Cora and Beatrix came to the farm, we've not sustained any losses due to predators. Becky's husband Roger takes care of the "strong back but weak mind" tasks of building maintenance, hauling feed and basic veterinary care. Everyone has a job and together produce some of the best quality soaps you can find.
Becky selectively chooses various oils, butters, and ingredients to enhance the qualities of her goat milk soap. Ingredients used are based on individual sensitivity and preferences to provide a broad range of customer choices. Packaging is designed to be biodegradable and uses sustainable natural materials.
